right sided midfielder/striker Bruce Simpson has signed for the Albert from Star
Hearts.

CUP
Lochgelly Albert were drawn away to North Region
Superleague side Lewis United in the 2nd round of the Junior Cup. The match will
be played on Sat 31st October at the Aberdeen Sports Village (aka The Chris
Anderson Stadium) and kicks off at 2pm.

Due to the club receiving a bye in the 1st round of the
Emirates Airlines Scottish Junior Cup, the following league fixtures have been
arranged.
Sat 3rd Oct Thornton Hibs (away)
Sat 10th Oct Lochore Welfare (home)
The 2nd round of the Junior Cup will be drawn on Sun
11th October with the matches due to be played on Sat 31st Oct.
PROGRAMME
The new match programme "THE BERTS" was launched at the
match versus Rosyth on Sat 19th Sept. There are a limited number of copies
available at £1 + postage.

CLUB
MERCHANDISE
The new club scarves are
now available to buy. They cost £6 each (not including p&p) but we will post
to anywhere in the world.
INJURY UPDATE
Goalkeeper Stevie Clarke will miss most of the season
after damaging knee ligaments in the 1st pre-season game.
Midfielder Gordon Birse, who was carried off with a
dislocated shoulder in the match v Kelty will be out for upto 6 weeks but he'll
hopefully be able to return to some light training next week.
Defender James Davis picked up an ankle injury in the
win at Dundonald and will be out for upto 4 weeks.
Defender Neil McLeod should be back in training soon
after picking up a hamstring injury in the 1st pre season match.
Striker
Stevie Brown was taken off in the opening minutes of Saturdays match with
Ballingry after being badly winded in a challenge with the Rovers keeper. Salmon
will be missing the next 3 matches anyway as he gets married and will then be on
honeymoon.
FIFE & LOTHIANS
CUP
Lochgelly Albert will play Broxburn
Athletic at home in the Fife & Lothians Cup, likely date for this tie is the
Saturday 17th October 2009.
CONGRATULATIONS
Everyone at the club would like to offer their congratulations to
striker Stevie Brown (Salmon), who is getting married this Saturday 29th
August.

The Aca Sports league cup match
between Lochgelly Albert + Lochore Welfare has been brought forward 24 hours to
Tuesday 11th August @ 6.45pm to avoid a clash with the Norway v Scotland match
on Wed 12th.CLUB

signed Colin Potter, previously with Kirkcaldy YM, Davy Stein, signed from
Newburgh & Ryan Dair, previously with Hill of Beath Hawthorn. Bud
Forrester has signed a new deal today too.
KENNOWAY
MATCH CANCELLEDThe match against Kennoway which was due to be played this
Wednesday (July 29th) has been called off. This is due to the number of injuries
that the Albert players have picked up in the previous 2 matches. The management
team had no option but to ask Kennoway to cancel as we would have been
struggling to field 11 players for this game.
